Why active practice matters
Recognition can create a false sense of confidence. A concept may look familiar on the page but remain difficult to retrieve when it appears inside a new scenario. Practice questions create a useful test: can you produce or select the answer before seeing the explanation?
Why calculations are separated
Numerical confidence comes from repeated setup and interpretation. Findemi treats calculation practice as its own skill where relevant, so students can build fluency rather than hoping the formula will feel familiar on exam day.
Why mock practice comes later
Mixed testing is most useful after the underlying concepts have been practised. At that point, a mock exam tests not only knowledge but also recognition: which rule, method or distinction is actually being tested?
